Macrovue is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect as little data as possible, and your photos never leave your device.
We do not collect personal data. Macrovue does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not track you across apps or websites.
Macrovue uses your device's camera to photograph restaurant menus. Here's what happens:
If you use the "Explore Nearby" feature, Macrovue accesses your location to show restaurants near you. Your location data is:

Macrovue does not use any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your behavior, collect device identifiers, or build user profiles.
Your dietary preferences and goals are stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms. This data is not synced to any server and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Macrovue does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we don't collect personal data from any users, this applies universally.
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. We recommend checking back occasionally.
